GLP-1 agonist injections, although originally developed to treat type 2 diabetes, have changed how we approach obesity.1 The two main types now in use—semaglutide (Wegovy), produced by Novo Nordisk, and tirzepatide (Mounjaro), produced by Eli Lilly—have been shown in clinical trials to produce substantial weight loss of 15-20% depending on dose, duration, and adherence.
