Oncocytic carcinoma of the thyroid gland is a rare malignancy that exhibits more aggressive behaviour than typical papillary carcinoma. 1 While metastasis most commonly occurs to the lungs, bone, liver or brain, isolated pancreatic involvement is exceptionally rare.2–4 Histopathological assessment is essential for accurate diagnosis, especially when imaging is non-specific, and the site of metastasis is uncommon. This case highlights the role of histopathology in this setting and the importance of relevant clinical information for accurate diagnosis.
