Mirikizumab has expanded the therapeutic landscape for moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis (UC), with efficacy demonstrated in the LUCENT phase 3 programme. However, as with many advanced therapies, an important question remains: are fixed induction regimens sufficient for the increasingly complex patients treated in routine clinical practice?1
