Daily aspirin almost halves the risk of colon and rectal cancer recurring in patients with a certain type of genetic alteration in the tumour, a Swedish study published in the New England Journal of Medicine has reported.1 Experts suggested that the findings will lead to a change in clinical practice for treating the condition.
