The people of the Chagos islands (figure 1) were forcibly displaced by the British between 1967 and 1973.1 2 Locally, in Crawley, close to Gatwick Airport, is the largest Chagossian diaspora globally (~3500). As part of a service improvement project, this evaluation aimed to describe the characteristics of Chagossian people living with HIV.
