Environmental non-disclosure and the potential to erode trust: a response to Armitage

Armitage highlights the ethical importance of patient trust and raises concerns about sustainability-promoting interventions that knowingly risk undermining it.1 Trust is certainly a central component of effective clinical care. However, his analysis gives insufficient attention to an additional ethical risk: that withholding relevant information about environmental impact may itself undermine trust.
