A woman in her 60s presented with a six month history of a painless dark lesion on her left nipple. Mammography was normal and a diagnosis of blue naevus—a benign pigmented mole—was made. She re-presented 18 months later with new bloody discharge from the left nipple lesion, which had not changed in size.
