On 01 August 2025, the UK became the first country in the world to offer the meningococcal B vaccine (4CMenB, Bexsero, GSK) for protection against gonorrhoea for those at high risk.1 In England, there were more than 70 000 gonorrhoea diagnoses in 2024, a threefold increase since 2012,2 and more than half were in gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM).2
