Kayser-Fleischer rings detected incidentally after ocular trauma leading to the diagnosis of Wilson’s disease

A 37-year-old man developed a right hand tremor that progressed after several months to affect the left hand. A neurologist diagnosed essential tremor and recommended propranolol. He began spilling drinks and had difficulty typing. Over the following year the tremor progressed to involve legs and voice. He then attended the emergency department after sustaining an eye injury from a foam dart fired by a toy gun; slit-lamp examination identified Kayser-Fleischer (KF) rings (figure 1).
