The Specialisation School of Hospital Pharmacy (SSFO) has been instrumental in advancing pharmacist training within Italy’s national healthcare system since its inception in 1978. This rigorous programme equips pharmacists with the specialised knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges of modern pharmaceutical care, particularly within the public healthcare framework. Governed by Interministerial Decree No 68 of 2015, the 4 year SSFO programme integrates multidisciplinary theoretical coursework with comprehensive practical training in hospital and community pharmacy settings.
