Telehealth for medication abortion has decreased many barriers to abortion care in the United States, but rhesus D (RhD) blood typing recommendations for patients beyond 84 days gestational duration can serve as a barrier for timely abortion.1–3 Additionally, self-determining RhD status may aid patients pursuing self-managed abortion, and can also reduce costs associated with travel, laboratory tests or time off work associated with traditional care at 84+ gestational days. EldonCard is a point-of-care RhD typing test.4
