Reynolds and colleagues emphasise the urgent need to tackle ethnic inequalities in prostate cancer outcomes.1 If the UK National Screening Committee goes ahead with a recommendation to introduce targeted screening for men aged 45 to 61 with BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutations, we fear that this will not only fail black men but will also create new barriers for a much broader group of men.2
