This special issue of BMJ Military Health showcases 14 invited manuscripts providing state-of-the-art narrative reviews on a range of topics related to military human performance. Manuscripts were invited based on the expert panel thematic sessions delivered at the 6th International Congress of Soldiers’ Physical Performance (6th ICSPP), the world’s leading conference in military human performance, held in London in September 2023 and hosted by the British Army.
