Choanal atresia is a condition where the openings present between the nasal cavity and the nasopharynx are occluded. As children are obligate nasal breathers, complete bilateral choanal atresia is usually diagnosed at birth and is seldom diagnosed later in life. People living with this condition present with symptoms such as persistent bilateral nasal block and nasal discharge. Such patients have been reported to be managed successfully by the use of various surgical techniques. We are reporting a patient who had presented in his adolescence to us with bilateral membranous atresia and have described his management and outcome.
