E-170 Multicentre safety and efficacy of the artisse intrasaccular device in ruptured and unruptured intracranial aneurysms

Background Intrasaccular devices are an increasingly utilized treatment option for wide necked cerebral aneurysms. This study presents data on the safety and efficacy of the Artisse Intrasaccular Device (ISD).Methods This was a retrospective, multicenter study on the safety and effectiveness of the Artisse ISD. The primary endpoint was the incidence of major stroke. The secondary endpoint was the rate of adequate aneurysm occlusion at follow-up which was assessed with the modified Raymond Roy Occlusion Classification. Secondary endpoints included the rate of thromboembolic and serious adverse events and neurological death. Patients were analysed in subgroups depending on the pre-treatment status of their aneurysm as either unruptured or ruptured.Results A total of 61 patients with 62 cerebral aneurysms treated with the Artisse ISD were retrospectively analysed. Of these, 46 (74.2%) aneurysms were unruptured and 16 (25.8%) were ruptured. Implant success was achieved in 97.8% (45/46) of the unruptured and 93.8% (15/16) of the ruptured aneurysm group. The primary endpoint of major stroke occurred in 2.2% (1/45) with unruptured and 6.3% (1/16) with ruptured aneurysms. Mono or dual antiplatelet therapy was initiated post-procedure in 95.5% (42/44) of patients with unruptured and 73.3% (11/15) with ruptured aneurysms. Follow-up imaging was available in 35 patients in the unruptured group and 9 in the ruptured group at a median of 4 months, which demonstrated adequate occlusion in 88.6% (31/35) and 100.0% (9/9), respectively.Conclusion This study provides evidence that the Artisse ISD is effective in treating cerebral aneurysms with an acceptable safety profile.Disclosures M.
