A 44-year-old steelworker presented with blurred vision in his right eye after being struck by a metal shard while hammering at work without protective eyewear. Both the external examination and the Seidel test were unremarkable. Localised inferior vitreous haemorrhage was noted. A plain skull X-ray was obtained to further evaluate the injury ( figure 1).
