A 3-week-old baby brought in by her parents due to concerns about eye discharge. She had been born at term via spontaneous vaginal delivery after an uneventful pregnancy. On examination, she has yellow bilateral discharge, but the sclerae are clear and there is no surrounding erythema. The rest of the clinical examination and observations are within normal limits. The parents ask if it is true that breast milk can help improve eye discharge.
