Skin lesions and acute kidney injury following Phyllodiscus semoni sting

A healthy woman in her 20s, with no history of regular medication use, developed severe pain and swelling in the right knee after an apparent sting while swimming at a remote island in southern Japan. She was diagnosed with cellulitis at a local clinic 6 hours later and prescribed oral antibiotics.
