I read with interest the study by Eghrari et al. examining the association between gabapentin prescriptions and increased incidence of dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in adults with chronic low back pain.1 Their analysis offers a valuable epidemiologic signal across age groups, particularly given the unexpectedly elevated risk observed in younger adults (18–64 years). However, several methodological and interpretive concerns warrant closer scrutiny.
