On November 28th–30th, 2025, pediatric and adolescent gynecology health providers at home and abroad discussed the diagnosis and management challenges of adnexal masses during the West Lake International Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Scientific Congress. Adnexal masses in female children and adolescents encompass a wide spectrum of ovarian and tubal lesions, which may be malignant or benign. In this population, early identification to allow clarification if surgical intervention is necessary, and to allow for fertility protection, is an important challenge.
