Bridging the gap in adverse events reporting in regional anesthesia trials

We read with keen interest the recent article by McCormick et al,1 examining adverse event (AE) reporting discrepancies between ClinicalTrials.gov and corresponding publications of randomized controlled trials in regional anesthesia (RA). The authors should be commended for addressing an ethically vital yet frequently overlooked dimension of research integrity, that is, accuracy and transparency of AE reporting in RA trials.
