The UK Covid-19 Inquiry published its final report on government decision making in November 2025 (Module 2), and its report on the impact on the NHS last month (Module 3).12 The final oral sessions of the inquiry for Module 10 also happened in March, ending with testimony from the bereaved.3 Taken together, the evidence shows how bad the first year of the pandemic was and how the extent of harm could have been reduced.
