From February 2020 to March 2026, 70 intra-arterial (IA) Chemotherapy infusions were performed for head and neck cancers at our tertiary care cancer center. 54% of Infusions were performed in setting of Hemorrhage Control. Complications were Grade 1 and 2 in nature with no neurologic complications. When follow up imaging was available, tumor response was evaluated with RESIST 1.1 criteria. Complete Response was noted in 11.9%. Partial Response was noted in 33.3%. Stable Disease was noted in 52.4%. The patients noted to have complete response had either a new diagnosis or were naïve to any prior chemotherapy regimen. Many patients with good results were poor candidates for IV chemotherapy where the decreased systemic toxicity of IA Chemotherapy allowed improved cancer treatment.
