In an ageing cystic fibrosis (CF) population, complication rates are rising. People with CF-related diabetes are increasingly developing microvascular complications, including end-stage renal disease (ESRD) requiring haemodialysis. There is an increased incidence of pericarditis in patients undergoing haemodialysis. This is the first ever case report to describe a CF patient with constrictive pericarditis secondary to ESRD, treated with pericardiectomy.
