As a physician from Indonesia working in the field of tuberculosis (TB) prevention and early detection, I find Shemtob and colleagues’ article on artificial intelligence (AI) scribes both timely and globally relevant.1 The emergence of AI scribes represents an important technological advancement with the potential to transform clinical practice. But, as the article carefully outlines, this must be accompanied by clarity in roles and responsibilities.
