We appreciate Dr Bujko’s interest in our manuscript, ‘Results of endoscopic intermuscular dissection for deep submucosal invasive rectal cancer: a three-year follow-up study’.1 His letter raises important concerns regarding the potential impact of endoscopic intermuscular dissection (EID) on completion surgery.2 Although our study was not designed to address these concerns, we are pleased to provide further details from our cohort.
