This large cohort study showed that nucleos(t)ide analogue therapy is beneficial for patients with hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg)-positive infection (patients with immune tolerance (IT)) with high replication or impending phase transition.1 Several serious issues need further clarification and discussion.
