Splenic artery pseudoaneurysm (SPA) is an uncommon but potentially life-threatening condition associated with blunt abdominal trauma. In addition to trauma, other common causes of SPAs include pancreatitis and peptic ulcer disease. Traumatic SPAs may take up to a week to manifest and are not always detected on initial imaging, likely due to early vasospasm or vessel dissection. 1
