We read with great interest the national UK service evaluation by Lumsden et al, describing the increasing use of transdermal clonidine patches (TCPs) in children and young people with severe motor disorders.1 The study persuasively underscores both the clinical complexity of this population and the growing reliance on alpha-2 agonists despite the limited evidence base.
