We read with interest the randomised controlled trial by Lu and colleagues evaluating an artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted assessment (AIA) workflow to titrate polyethylene glycol (PEG) volume, aiming to reduce laxative burden and support sustainable endoscopy.1 We would appreciate clarification on three points that may help readers interpret the decision anchor, the meaning of benefit in a near-ceiling setting, and the boundaries of applicability.
