Background To investigate the effect of multidisciplinary collaboration (MDT) based nutritional support therapy on cardiac output (CO) and clinical prognosis in patients with intestinal tuberculosis (ITB) complicated with hypoalbuminemia.Methods A randomized controlled study was conducted to select 80 patients with intestinal tuberculosis complicated with hypoalbuminemia (serum albumin<30g/L) admitted to our department from January 2024 to January 2025. They were randomly divided into an intervention group (n=40) and a control group (n=40) using a random number table method. The control group received routine anti-tuberculosis treatment and standard nutritional support nursing; On the basis of the control group, the intervention group adopted the MDT team to develop a nutritional support plan.Results After 4 weeks of intervention, the levels of serum albumin and prealbumin in the intervention group significantly increased, and the degree of improvement was significantly better than that in the control group (P<0.05). The CO and SV of the intervention group were significantly increased compared to before the intervention and the control group (P<0.05). The intervention group showed faster relief of fluid imbalance symptoms and a lower incidence of complications compared to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Multidisciplinary nutritional support can effectively improve the nutritional status of patients with intestinal tuberculosis complicated with hypoalbuminemia, significantly increase their cardiac output, improve circulatory function, and promote clinical rehabilitation.
