This proof-of-concept study evaluates the effectiveness of a just-in-time video review tool on procedural competency in the performance of decompressive fasciotomies and vascular control of axillary and femoral vessels in cadaveric models. Systematic assessment using subjective and objective metrics was used by evaluators to score participants divided into matched cohorts that differed in their access (or lack thereof) to the STAT video review tool. The authors found that use of the video refresher tool improved technical success in performance of the fasciotomies but not in vascular control.1
