Background 4 year-old boy with B-cell leukemia developed rhinocerebralorbital mucormycosis and recovered.Results The patient developed mucormycosis 1 shortly after beginning standard chemotherapy. He underwent multiple debridements of the orbit, nasal sinuses, brain and recovered and over 150 hyperbaric oxygen treatments. His chemotherapy was changed to immunotherapy. He made a complete recovery. In the beginning of his treatment, he was advised to cease all treatment and succumb to the cancer. The parents refused.Conclusions Patients with mucormycosis can make a complete recovery.
