Introduction Patients receiving CPAP therapy from the Lung Function & Sleep Department at Good Hope Hospital (LF&S GHH) require yearly consumables (mask, hose, etc.) to ensure treatment remains effective; approximately 2,500 patients receive CPAP therapy from LF&S GHH.Historically, patients were required to attend in person to collect their consumables. This increased the burden with regards to stock management and preparing consumables. In October 2024, ResMed Resupply was implemented to tackle this issue. This service allows ResMed consumables, valued at more that £40 to be delivered directly to the patient free of charge.A service review was completed to establish the impact on the clinic.Methods Baseline data was obtained for February 2024 prior Resupply implementation. Data was collected after implementation in April 2025. The departmental ‘CPAP collection sheet’ was reviewed for each day. The following information was recorded:Number of collectionsType of consumables (ResMed or other supplier)Reason for collection (annual, broken part etc.)Results Table 1 summarises the results, comparing data from February 2024 to April 2025.Of the 52 collections post Resupply implementation, 44% were collections of alternative supplier masks, 36.5% did not reach the £40 threshold for free delivery via ResMed and 13.5% were urgent replacements.<1% of patients were highlighted as collections that should have gone through ResMed Resupply.Discussion The number of CPAP consumable collections has significantly reduced since the implementation of the ResMed Resupply replenishment system, which has reduced the administrative burden on LF&S GHH. It has reduced the volume of stock that the service is required to hold and the number of telephone calls to the service. Most remaining collections were unavoidable.The service was renewed for a further 12 months.
