The migration of healthcare professionals from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to high-income countries remains a persistent challenge in global health. LMICs invest heavily in training medical personnel, yet many emigrate in search of better opportunities, leaving behind fragile health systems. 1 A 2023 systematic review confirmed that brain drain significantly disrupts population health outcomes across LMICs, particularly undermining health equity and global health security.1
