The pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block provides regional analgesia for patients with hip fractures and those undergoing hip surgery. It has been shown to reduce postoperative opioid consumption, limit motor blockade, and improve the quality of recovery.1 This technique targets the articular branches of the femoral, obturator, and accessory obturator nerves, which innervate the anterior hip capsule—a region densely populated with nociceptors.2
