The 2025 American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Consensus Practice Infection Control guidelines offer recommendations on managing infection risks, diagnosing, and treating infectious complications in regional anesthesia and pain management.1 Over 80 research questions were reviewed using the US Preventive Services Task Force criteria for evidence levels and certainty. Twenty-three authors used a modified Delphi process and classified pain procedures into four categories (Table 3 in the manuscript),1 advising on appropriate infection control measures:
