The war in Sudan that began in April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces now ranks among the world’s largest humanitarian and public health crises. According to recent WHO data, the conflict has left 34 million people in need of humanitarian aid and 21 million lacking basic health services. Drone strikes and the use of explosive weapons in populated areas have been devastating, and repeated attacks have crippled the healthcare system, already weakened by disease and hunger. 1 2
