A man in his 50s undergoing peritoneal dialysis (PD) for end-stage kidney disease secondary to diabetic nephropathy presented with abdominal pain, diarrhoea and general fatigue. His medical history included diabetes mellitus, hypertension, previous bloodstream infection secondary to a deep gluteal abscess and a prior PD tunnel infection. He also had a history of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Corynebacterium exit-site infection.
