The primary aim of this thesis was to design and evaluate a novel running intervention for adults with chronic low back pain (LBP) that could achieve clinically meaningful reductions in pain intensity and disability. Secondary aims were to determine whether beliefs about the safety of running are a barrier to participation and whether these beliefs change following a running intervention.
