Interpreting the link between vitamin D deficiency and postoperative pain after breast cancer surgery

We read with great interest the study by Dr Abdelhady and colleagues.1 The authors addressed a clinically important issue because identifying modifiable perioperative factors may help improve pain control and reduce opioid exposure after breast cancer surgery. Nevertheless, some methodological limitations should be considered when interpreting the reported findings.
