Welcome to the May 2026 issue of Frontline Gastroenterology (FG). I am pleased to report that the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) EndoBridge 2026 (26-27 January 2026) in Leeds, UK, was a great success. It was fantastic to see cutting-edge innovation in endoscopy which is so relevant to the frontline being delivered by world-class endoscopists. Over 2 days advanced diagnostic and interventional techniques were showcased, as well as practical insights, plus the interface between endoscopy and the wider fields of gastroenterology, hepatology and inflammatory bowel disease was demonstrated. A particular highlight was watching Professor Nageshwar Reddy from the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology Hospitals delivering the Christopher Williams Lecture ‘Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2026 and Beyond: A look into the future!’ (figure 1) The FG EndoBridge Special issue is well progressed and will be published in June 2026—watch this space!
