Clarifying our editorial approach, with some important updates for authors and reviewers

As recently appointed co-editors-in-chief of the Journal of Medical Ethics, our goal is to serve the community of authors, reviewers and readers by ensuring that the work we publish is timely, rigorous and distinctive. In this editorial, we want to share a few notes about how we are approaching editorial decisions, so that our rationale is clear, and to call attention to some simplification of the journal’s article types and what we’re hoping for from work in each of these categories.
