Erector spinae plane block (ESPB) has garnered significant attention in recent years.1 Erdem et al published a study investigating the effect of ESPB on postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) following lumbar disc herniation surgery.2 Their results indicated that ESPB provided effective analgesia while concurrently reducing both the incidence and severity of PONV. While the authors’ contributions are gratefully acknowledged, several points warrant further discussion.
