Reflections of an international gastroenterologist returning to the NHS: learning from other healthcare systems

Working in the NHS for two decades has shaped much of my professional identity, not only clinically but also academically and ethically. I recently spent almost 4 years practising gastroenterology in the Gulf before recently returning to work in the NHS.
