My thesis investigated physical performance outcomes following sprint priming stimuli and their associations with strength qualities. I examined whether priming exercise improves physical performance within 1–48 hours and explored strength and conditioning practitioners’ perceptions of priming exercise as a pre-competition strategy. I also compared sprint and jump performance 6 hours after sprint priming stimuli and examined associations with heavy dynamic strength. Lastly, I investigated sprint performance outcomes following sprint priming across a 9-week periodised training programme and explored whether strength adaptations were associated with these outcomes.
