Caroline was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1983 and studied medicine at Queen’s University, Belfast, following in her father’s footsteps. She graduated in 2007 and after foundation training entered the Northern Ireland anaesthetic training programme in 2009. She quickly found her feet as an anaesthetist and loved her chosen profession.
