Lung cancer (LC) remains the deadliest cancer in the world and LC screening programmes continue to expand across healthcare systems to improve outcomes by earlier detection.1 Following results from screening trials, multiple countries have implemented their versions of LC screening programmes or have expanded their screening eligibility criteria.2–5
