The Labour government has set out an ambitious roadmap for the NHS through the 10 Year Plan: into neighbourhood care and digital innovation, with a focus on preventing illness.1 These are welcome ideas. But without workforce retention and inclusion at the heart of delivery, the plan will struggle to succeed.
