We read with interest the article by Dr Purewal and colleagues on the potential applications of large language models (LLMs) in meta-analyses and systematic reviews.1 While we agree that LLMs could significantly reduce the time required for the laborious components of systematic reviews, we wish to highlight our recent experience using the LLM Grok 4 to assist in a preliminary literature search for a systematic review and meta-analysis on the effect of methadone on chronic post-surgical pain (CPSP).2
